Drainage systems metal and plastic

Plastic drainage systems
Plastic systems are often preferred be
cause of their low price and easier installation. They are relatively light and do not overload the structure. In addition, they do not corrode because they are made of PVC material.
However, they have a number of disadvantages:
they deform and expand when exposed to extreme temperature differences;
under the influence of UV rays, the plastic fades and loses its strength;
gutters can crack when hit or under heavy snow;
they have a shorter lifespan – often needing replacement after 8–10 years.
This makes them more suitable for temporary buildings or for owners who are looking for a minimal initial investment without thinking long term.
Metal gutter systems
Metal systems are made of galvanized steel, aluminum, or polymer-coated steel. They are significantly more durable and reliable.
Advantages of metal gutter systems:
- Exceptional strength – metal does not crack or deform easily under temperature fluctuations;
- Long life – when installed correctly, a metal system can last 25–30 years or more. At our company, ROOFER – Roofing Materials Center, we offer metal gutter systems with a factory warranty for durability, so that the customer can be confident in their investment;
- Resistance to weather conditions – not affected by snow, ice, or heavy rain;
