Bitumen shingles IKO Superglass 3Tab

Superglass 3Tab is IKO’s classic rectangular three-tab shingle with a glass-fibre base. It comes in the widest colour range of the classic models.

They are made by IKO – one of the world’s largest roofing manufacturers. ROOFER supplies original IKO products with documents and warranty.

Shingle structure

Coloured mineral granules – UV protection and colour
Upper bitumen layer
Impregnated glass fibre – the base that gives strength and dimensional stability
Lower bitumen layer
Self-sealing strips – the rows bond together under the sun

ROOFER tips

Bitumen shingles are laid on a solid deck – OSB or plywood – and an underlay (Armourbase). Extra waterproofing goes in valleys and around chimneys.
Use packs from the same batch or mix them while laying – the roof colour will be even.
Install above +5 °C. In cold weather self-sealing only starts once the sun warms the roof.
For ridges, eaves and valleys use original IKO accessories – underlays, valley rolls, vents, Plastal adhesive and wide-head nails.

IKO Superglass 3Tab: 15-year limited manufacturer warranty.

The warranty applies when installed according to IKO instructions with suitable accessories. Keep the purchase invoice; the specific conditions are set out in IKO’s warranty documents.
